When the Kindle changed the literary world last year, lots of people rushed out to get one (or frantically ordered one from Amazon.com, I guess). I first became familiar with Vera Bradley while working in a department-store like shop that carried the brand. At first, I didn’t get it. Elaborately designed quilted bags, purses, totes, etc. But the more I worked with the now-famous brand, the more I began to recognize the distinct patterns while out and about.
