Here is a great way to make free custom ringtones for your Apple iPhone. You will need access to your iTunes account from your computer as well as your iPhone and sync cable.

  1. Open your iTunes and find a song  you want to turn into a ringtone. Make sure this is a song that you own and have the rights to. (non-DRM)
  2. Determine the portion of the song you would like to use for your ringtone. Note the start and stop time of the portion of the song.
