I just got my renewal letter in the mail. The renewal rate for 1 year was $159.39 + $15.62 Royalty fee + taxes. I called to get the $77/year promotion (I’ve done this for the past 3 years). You have to tell them that you are cancelling your membership, then they transfer you to the retention department. Once I spoke with retention agent, he couldn’t offer $77/yr any longer, however he gave me $86/yr + $8.43 royalty + $6.61 for taxes. Total was $100.54. Hope this helps.

I just finished my free 3 month subscription for XM on my new car. I called about renewing the subscription and they gave me the half price xm premier price of $116.46 for the year. I asked if they had any quarterly plans available and they locked me into a XM premier semi annual plan for $34.99 plus the fee.

I just got the same deal today. I just told the about the $77 deal I saw online. XM calls it their 1/2 off deal. With tax in my area it came to $85.32 for the next year. Note: If you don’t call prior to your 1 year subscription expiring it will auto renew at the full price $12.95. The rep stated XM will send out a reminder notice 1 month prior to the expiration of the auto renewal at the full price.

Just added a 2nd radio with the $77 package. However, it was a hassle to add the $77 also on the radio I already had. The first rep said it would not be a problem after changing from XM select family-friendly to xm select – which he could not change over. The 2nd rep would at first not want to honor the $77 the first rep promised. After 10 minutes on hold, she finally did extend the promo to the first radio as well. It was somewhat of a hassle but they did come through for me.

Also worked for me today! Plus, I didn’t give them my credit card number but asked for an invoice. They activated my radio and gave me a month to send the invoice back with my billing information. Spoke with an American woman. The Indian woman didn’t understand what I was talking about.

Worked Great, Thank You! Overall I saved about $83 dollars by using this advice. I called them and informed them of an Email referencing the $77 dollar a year Subscription and they didn’t argue nor decline such an existance of an offer, I am Very Pleased! End Result I have a very Happy Honda Accord and will be enjoying the upcomming Road Trips!
