Lovin’ The Graco Lovin’ Hug Infant Swing

Any parent will tell you that finding the secret to settling your fussy infant will save your sanity. For some babies, this means being tightly swaddled or sung to, rocking in a chair with Mommy, or sucking on a pacifier. For my daughter, it’s spending time in her swing.

When I initially registered for my baby shower, I included our Graco Lovin’ Hug Infant Swing (in Abbington pattern, pictured) as something that would be nice to have. After all, it completed the set of matching high chair, travel system and Pack N Play—so why not?

We received the swing as one of our gifts, assembled it (quickly and easily, I might add) and then assigned it to a corner of our living room, where it sat out of the way and forgotten. Because my daughter’s birth had some unexpected complications, she has spent many weeks still hospitalized and the swing remained unused and untouched. As she’s recovering, the nurses have encouraged us to bring in items from home that she might enjoy. We grabbed toys and blankets, never thinking to bring the swing until one of the nurses suggested it.

Hauling it into the hospital was no easy task but was, we discovered, well worth it. Right away, she loved it! Even during her fussiest moments, we’re able to soothe her in the swing.

The Graco Lovin’ Hug swing has six speeds, 10 classical songs and nature sounds to soothe baby. The seat has one-armed four position recline and the curved design “mimics a mother’s arms” for snug support. An upgraded seat pad gives baby head and lower body support, while a five-point harness keeps her safely in place. An overhead mobile rotates with swing movement and the soft plush bears are adorable.

My daughter likes to listen to classical music as she rocks slowly back and forth, tucked snuggly into her swing with a soft, fleece blanket. If you’re in the market for a swing, this is one of the best. In fact, many of the hospital staff have commented on how nice hers is compared to others out there. Since I don’t have much basis for comparison, I’ll take their word for it. But I do know that it does everything it says it will—comfort and soothe baby while still being safe and reliable. I would definitely recommend checking out ShopGala’s coupons for the best deal on the Graco Lovin’ Hug Infant Swing. There is currently a $5 off Baby Age coupon. You can also find Walmart coupons and Target deals for the swing. Additionally, Babies”R”Us always seems to be running offers for swings.
