My Summer Deals at Barnes & Noble

I have to admit I have a slight obsession with Barnes & Noble. I adore going in there and taking my time, scouring the shelves with a coffee in hand, but I also love looking to see what they have online as well. I normally find amazing deals on books both online and in the store, which makes Barnes & Noble my all time favorite.

Recently, while shopping for a new beach read this summer, I stumbled across Barnes & Nobles online collection for best reads to kick it at the beach or by the pool. It seemed like they were really talking a lot about a brand new paperback that just came out a couple weeks ago called, On The Island by Tracey Garvis Graves. It’s about a 30 year-old teacher who takes on a summer tutoring program for a 16 year-old young boy who recently beat cancer. The plane that they are on, crashes and they are stuck on an island together, which ultimately leads to a little more than just building fires and catching fish.

I instantly knew this was the summer book I needed to read and after looking over the numerous good reviews on Barnes & Noble, I decided to buy it online since it offered it at an even better price than in the store. This was great since the book is extremely new to the market and I didn’t think it would be offered at a discount of $10, instead of the listed price of $15.

While I purchased that book, I checked out what else that Barnes & Noble had to offer on it’s website and right now there is a lot of clearance items for their exclusive summertime sale. At 90% off, there are tons of amazing books on sale that I wanted to just scoop right up including another edition of one of my favorite books, The Lovely Bones which is now under $3. Other books that peaked my interest were the Mistress by Leda Swann which is only $1.99, and The Very Thought Of You by Rosie Alison, now only $2.99 for a paperback.

I have also heard great things about The Host by Stephanie Meyer so I thought at just $2.99, I mine as well pick that up too. I also stuck in an easy read called Winter Bloom by Tara Heavey, $1.99 which I thought might be a good read later on in the year when the wintertime hits and I need a heartfelt pick me up.

All in all, my experience shopping for books that are both best sellers, old classics, and brand new titles is an amazing one while shopping at Barnes & Noble. I enjoy every minute of looking through their latest books that are on the market but I also enjoy looking through the discount books as well to see what great deals they have for such an avid reader like me.
