I’m one of those people who can get lost for days inside health stores like GNC and Vitamin World and not in a good way. With endless aisles of capsules, powders, and liquids all touting to maximize certain health benefits, I just don’t know where to start. Supplements can be very overwhelming! I take a multivitamin daily, but recently I’ve been looking for a product that will maximize my workout benefits. Something that will give me more energy on days when I want to cry thinking about a looming 45 minute cardio session. Something that will help aid in quickening my post workout muscle recovery, and most of all, something that will help my sluggish metabolism. Every since I hit my late 20s, my metabolism seems to have come to a grinding halt. No more cheeseburgers washed down with milk shakes at 2:00 a.m. for this girl.

Recently I was flipping through the pages of Women’s Health and came across a two page advertisement for the new line of women’s health products at GNC, the WELLbeING Whole Body Health Products line. The WELLbeING line was launched last April, and according to GNC the line offers over 25 products designed to be used alone or customized into a regimen that addresses each woman’s personal wellness goals and unique health needs. Examples of some of the customizable products are BeFlexible – which supports bone health and joint function, and BeFulfilled – a weight management shake. There’s also a basic woman’s multivitamin at the core of the program, called BeWhole.

The products I was most interested in were the VitaPak products – which are programs that combine different supplements for your health and beauty needs in one package. Examples of these are BeHot which is touted as an exercise enhancing formula, and BeWholesome which keeps you looking young and beautiful. I liked the idea that all of the products I need for my specific health and fitness goals were provided for me in one package, with individual daily packets that could easily fit in my purse. Better yet, I didn’t have to buy six different bottles of products to take in unison, all the while worrying about their interactions. It was almost like having a nutritionist on hand, determining what was best for my individual needs.

After doing some research on the product line, I ended up purchasing the BeHOT TurboPak using a GNC Coupon for 15% off WELLbeING products. The product contains 30 packets of three different supplements from the WELLbeING line, be-DEFINED which is a toning and sculpting formula, be-ENERGIZED which is a calorie burning formula, and be-ENHANCED which contains Tonalin CLA to support metabolism. I started using the supplements last Saturday, and within an hour of taking them I was at the gym working harder and longer than I had ever done before. My stamina was off the charts, which I think is due to the be-ENERGIZED supplement. Since I started the regimen, I notice a difference in the way my body recovers post workout. I look forward to workouts now, and instead of immediately wanting to take a nap post workout, my energy remains at a constant rate throughout the day.

I’m definitely pleased with this product, but the only thing I would recommend to those wishing to try it is to take the supplements first thing in the morning, even if you don’t work out until later in the day. If you attempt to take it at night, you may have trouble falling asleep due to the amount of energy it produces. Also, a full stomach is necessary to minimize stomach irritation. I’m so pleased with the be-HOT TurboPaks that I plan on purchasing more in the WELLbeING line very soon… but first, I’m off to the gym!
