XM Radio Subscription For $77 Per Year!

If you are looking to get satellite radio or are on a free 3-month promotion, we have a great deal for you. XM Radio has a great non-published deal that can save you a TON of money. You can get a 1-year XM Radio subscription for $77! All you need to do is call XM at 1-800-347-0600 and ask for the $77 per year deal. (Tell them a friend of yours got that deal if you need to.)

Here are some things to keep in mind:

  1. They normally charge $12.95 per month so this is a huge savings.
  2. They are now charging an artist royalty fee of $11 or so. You can ask to waive this fee but I'm not sure they will. (They did not waive it for me.) Your final charge should be just under $90 for the year.
  3. Remember to call up in a year and renew or they will go back to charging your credit card $12.95 per month.
  4. This does NOT include the Best of Sirius (Howard Stern, NFL, etc.). However, it does include all of XM and most of the other Sirius stations (like E Street Radio, Wahoo!).
  5. This does NOT include XM traffic. There is an additional charge for this.
  6. I do not know if this works for Sirius radios. I have 2 XM radios so I'm not sure. However, it won't hurt to try.
  7. If you get a rep who won't give you the deal, just hang up and call again. I had to do it twice before I was given the offer.
  8. If you are calling to renew and want the offer again, you might have more of a problem. They claim this is only an introductory offer. However, I told them I was going to cancel and they transferred me to someone who gladly gave me the deal again. They really need to keep their subscribers so they aren't going to let you go. Keep speaking to someone until they give you the $77 deal!

As a personal opinion, XM radio is amazing! I listen to it all the time and now have very little use for terrestrial radio. If you have a new car with a free 3-month XM radio trial, this is a great way to continue receiving the service for a discount.

NOTE: XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio are now the same company. Keep this in mind when speaking with them.

Called today to check renewal options. I was trying to renew the $77.00 rate which I had last year. Was given the 2 yr and down prices. Asked about the $77.00 rate and was told no problem but since I had already had that discounted rate she had to transfer me to someone else for that rate. I was transferred and was told no problem but when she started to charge me she noticed I was renewing from the discounted rate, which I had already told her. She then said I could not get this rate again. I asked her what I needed to do to cancel and she transferred me to the cancellation dept. They asked me why I was cancelling and I told them I couldn’t afford current rate. I was offered 1/2 price again for a year which came to about $85.00 total for the year. You just have to say you want to cancel. The gentleman in the cancellation dept was very easy to deal with.

Thanks for the great post! I had just been auto-renewed at the normal price. I called the number listed in your post. The rep knew about the deal but had to transfer me to customer care (In India, appareantly). They didn’t want to give me the deal so I said I wanted to cancel. Got transferred again to a helpful rep who gladly offered me the year for $77 to keep me on.

FYI…Just subscribed annually to XM for $77.00 + 8.52 for royalty fee and taxes. It was an easy transaction although I did have to mention it to the sales rep (who was aware of the promotion). I will need to contact XM 30-45 days prior to renewal time or price goes up to then current costs (ouch!). But…the $77.00 price is still available (going on 3+ years).

I called the number on the letter Sirius sent me about my free trial ending. Unfortunately, I wasn’t aware I had a free trial, and my sat was never activated until today.

After reading these forums, I called back and told them I had heard about the $77 deal. She gave it to me, no problems! Total is $85.32. THANKS EVERYONE!
